LABORATORIES & IN-HOUSE TESTING FACILITIES

In-house laboratories were set up in Therelek with the aim to carry out Microstructural Analysis, Hardness, Testing, Calibration, Pyrometry and related activities.

It is manned by well experienced technical staff with many years of experience and headed by a team of qualified Metallurgists with long experience in production laboratories. The laboratory caters to internal assessment and also renders service to external agencies looking for dependable and technically competent reporting. Our laboratory is specialized in Surface Contamination and the Quench Severity test carried out for aerospace quality standards. To complement the Hardness Testing Facilities the image analyzer installed comes in handy for analyzing the microstructure and establishes

the acceptance standards for retained austenite, the cementite network grain size and so on.

Therelek undertakes calibration of thermocouples and furnaces for various organizations on contract basis. The calibration is done as per international standards like AMS 2750 and RPS 953. The thermocouples used for calibration are controlled for the number of uses.
